Cooking Classes for Food Lovers
At Tamara’s Kitchen, we believe that knowledge is priceless. Tamara is well known for creating easy, approachable recipes to share with her students and this has kept them coming back time and time again. She teaches her classes in a way that is sophisticated enough for serious food lovers, but simple enough for those who haven’t had much experience in the kitchen and because the classes are always small (maximum 10), everyone is as involved as they want to be.
Whether you’ve cooked for years and just need some inspiration or whether you are just starting out on your cooking journey, you’ll find plenty of delicious classes to attend.
Gift vouchers and group bookings are a speciality and we can provide you with a gift voucher for a birthday gift, anniversary or ‘just because’. If you have a group of friends and want to do a ‘signature class’, we can create a menu or theme just for your group!

"French inspired, made in Australia"
The second in our Guest Chef series…
Born in Normandy, France, cooking has been in Antoine Cheron’s blood since childhood. Antoine grew up watching his father cook in the family restaurant and followed a well-worn path as a young apprentice, to Paris and then London to work alongside some of the most inspiring French chefs of our time.
In 2000, Antoine moved to Australia and settled in the Yarra Valley with stints at Tokar Estate, Debortoli, and Yering Station before he ran his own kitchen at Bulong Estate.
These days, Antoine teaches budding young chefs at Le Cordon Bleu in Melbourne and brings a wide range of French technique to his classes.
During this class, you’ll be inspired by his approach to creating ‘restaurant style’ dishes at home using the best local produce. Expect a delicious starter focussing on seasonal produce, a wonderful ‘Pan-Asian’ inspired duck main course with sides, and a stunning dessert of puff pastry, chiboust cream, fresh berries and rose water.
The cost is $250.00

"Are you Game?"
The First in our Guest Chef series…
This cooking class explores innovative combinations of game and native bush flavours to create inspiring meals at home.
Shaun Landman is an Australian born chef who has spent the majority of his career working in the busy brunch scene of Melbourne. Taking a more adventurous route with his food than most, Shaun took a science based approach with his cuisine whilst still utilising the highest quality local ingredients as he believe “the quality brings the flavour!”
If you’ve been intimidated by game meats and usually stick to safer proteins such as chicken, beef and lamb, this cooking class will provide a good introduction to preparing and cooking game meat dishes. We’ll focus on Australian game and pair the dishes with some great native bush flavours while giving you a good understanding of getting the cooking just right every time!
The cost is $250.00
