Our Story

Tamara has been involved in Melbourne’s vibrant food scene for over 30 years, specialising in cooking classes from her Tooronga Road school,  authoring several cookbooks and appearing weekly on Melbourne radio on 3AW’s “Grape Expectations” wine and food show each Sunday. 

Tamara’s first food love was bread-making and since 1989, Tamara has taught thousands of her students how to make delicious bread as well as cakes, risotto and so much more. Her love of food has taken her to France where she has taught and now escorts gourmet ‘foodies’ to France to learn more about the food and lifestyle of this popular destination.

These days, in addition to two new cookbooks, Tamara has re-invigorated her Melbourne cooking school on the Mornington Peninsula, using the best local produce and wines to showcase her easy, fuss free and approachable style of cooking. Class are held on Sunday and include several recipes, an extensive lunch with wine and a folder to take your new recipes home in.

The small classes of maximum 10 participants means that everyone sees everything that is cooked and students can be involved more or less as they prefer. The classes are informal but extremely informative. A wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
